31 Days of Halloween - Day 1

It's the 1st of October and you know what that means? It's 31 Days of Halloween goodness!!  Zaha Studio Blog is hosting this awesome event, and there are 15 participants in this extraordinary blog hop.  Join us for fun, frivolity and some fantastic prizes.

For my first creation, I have used a My Scrap Chick template to create a gift box.  I don't have fancy cutting machines, so I cut everything by hand, and the templates are so easy to use, and print easily.  If you do have a cutting machine, they, of course, have you covered there too - it's all in the download.  This is just one box in a set of two with an accompanying card that come as a set.  Check out Midnight Manor Trio for more details.

I also added a cute little Trick or Treater from Whimsie Doodles.

I used Black Bazzill cardstock for the base and then accented with Doodle Bug stickers and papers.  I doodled lines on the windows, door and fences.  I coloured the child with my Copics and glossed his lollies and bag.

Each side of the box is decorated with windows, fence and trim and the top of the box has a detailed fence that I inked and then wrapped with Doodlebug twine.  The caution tape is Doodlebug too - can you tell I love them?
