Welcome to the third day of 31 Days of Halloween, hosted by the awesome Smeared Ink! There are many awesome and talented crafters in this blog hop, which you'll find listed on the right, and you can start right back at the beginning if you've just arrived here :) There will be treasure hunts and prizes to win, so don't forget to visit everyone!
Today I've created a straw wreath. I've wanted to make this since I saw it on Pinterest! This one is a mini wreath though for my daughter to put on her door.
First I cut a circle (the base of the witches hat), then cut 16 paper straws in half. I hot glued the straws evenly around the black card. Carefully I glued and ruffled some orange ribbon. Then I created a cone out of black card. Around the bottom of the cone I added a ruffle I made using two different shades of orange card. I snipped the edges of each piece and then used my sewing machine to sew them together. I hot glued this to around the cone, and then glued the cone to the wreath. I added a felt cat, some puffy stickers and some cute little spiders that are free digi images.

I'm really happy with how it has turned out, and the spiders are so cute - they each have thier own little personality.
Thanks for visiting! Your next stop is Airless Chambers.
