Happy

you’ve joined us this weekend for this extra special blog hop. SpiegelMom Scraps and the Southern Girls Challenge Blog owners and Design Teams
have united and are aspiring to inspire
YOU! This hop has such wide variety of
paper crafting styles and media being used that it’s sure to knock your socks
off. Jody Spiegelhoff owns SpiegelMom
Scraps! and Louise is an owner of the
Southern Girls Challenge Blog and they have combined to create an awesome bloghop just for you!
I have created a layout of my daughter for you to see, it's based on a sketch created by Kat Benjamin for SpiegelMom Scraps. It nice and simple and so easy to tweek and make your own. Here it is so you can give it a go:
I used little wooden pegs, little wooden hearts and arrows and 3D foam squares under the flags from SpiegelMomScrapShop.
Here you can see the tiny peg holding the paper flower, which I decorated with a patterned badge.
I love the look of these raw wooden shapes. I attached them with my hot glue gun, simply cause I already had it on, and I really wanted them to stick and stay in the frame that I'm putting the layout in.
I created my own banner using some yellow twine and pink spotted Washi Tape. I folded it over the twine and then cut to size. I've raised each flag up with ta 3D foam square.
It's not a party without sprinkles! I added some sequins and liquid pearls, then finished off with a dab of silver Stickles for sparkle.
My next creation is a wreath with monogram
I made the wreath using a metal wreath shape, then using a long strip of burlap, I zig-zag stitched a line of loose stitching and then gathered it at the end. I sewed the garland onto the metal shape to create a wreath. Atop that I added a pineapple corkboard and paper mache monogram. I covered the "S" in paper and distressed the edges. Then added some gorgeous flowers that I created from Auz Trinkets N Krafts one of our blog hop sponsors.
These beautiful lillies started out as a single sheet of flowers. I fussy cut each flower, then layered them using special tools, a candle to soften the card and a soft mat. They have a lovely shiney appearance, and are quite hardy once hot glued together. I added some butterfly crystals and gold beads to their centres.
I also added some bling, leaves, wooden fawns and twill.
Looking for another challenge, then why not try out a card sketch?
