Day 25 - Beans beans the musical fruit

Hi and welcome to everyone from the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop!  If you want to see more of the awesomeness that this blog hop has to offer, the you can find the blog roll on the left in my sidebar.

I absolutely love Harry Potter, I've read all the books, seen the movies and wish my car was a Firebolt (My mum used to have a Ford Anglia which I named Puff n' Stuff, when I was a kid - which is the same car that Harry and Ron fly!)  So I just had to make some HP themed stuff for Halloween!!  I found some choc frogs and then sourced a Choc Frog Box template from Harry Potter Paraphernalia. All I had to do was print out the template and then cut and score the lines.  I added some gloss to the jewels and some bling.  I could have done the same thing for Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans, but I had some cute jars that I wanted to alter.  I wrapped one in newsprint type paper, some strips of bright green cardstock and then added a tag with the logo stamped on it. (I found the logo on Tumblr)  I also found a great little pictorial on Tumblr, on all the names of these bizarre beans: Liver & Tripe, Sardine, Toast, Vomit & Cabbage just to name a few!
Look at those wonderfully coloured beans!!  I haven't dared to try one yet.  I inked the edge of the tag with black ink and tied it to the jar with the twine that it came with.
On the bottom of the box is information about the trading card that it comes with.  This box has a Dumbledore card, so the information is all about him.

Thanks for visiting, and don't forget to try the beans!

Bertie bott's are wonderful. Especially vomit. The "gross" ones are actually not bad, well most of them anyways

What a fun project! Think I'll pass on the beans, though. Farts would be the best I could hope for after eating some of those, me thinks. xxD

I tried some odd flavored jelly beans once - like rotten eggs and moldy cheese - word to the wise - Don't try them. They really taste like what they say. Not for the weak of stomach. Love your bottle and your box.

After visiting Universal Studios Harry Potter World I have been in love with the huge chocolate frogs! These are so beautiful and the box is awesome! Yes, going through the candy store my stomach jumped a few times at the names of things..your jelly beans capture that feeling perfectly! Adding a trading card to the box was wonderful and the way you allowed the uniqueness of the bottle to show through by using just the right amount of papers on it and layering was genius!! This is every Harry Potter fans dream come true!!

Between the description and the comments, I think I have no craving for Bertie Bott beans.
I might be convinced to try a chocolate frog.

Love this Sarah! When we came through the US on our way home from the UK, we encountered some Bertie Bott's all flavoured beans. So the kids had a 'bean off', to see who could withstand the foulest flavours. It was hilarious!! I have the pictures to prove it. Sooo gonna pull those out for their 21st!! LOL. Love your creation. Very cool. Hugs, Wends x
