Day 21 - It's finger licken' good!

Hi and welcome to everyone from the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop!  If you want to see more of the awesomeness that this blog hop has to offer, the you can find the blog roll on the left in my sidebar.

I'm passing out the drinks today, and they're finger licken' good.  These tall glasses contain only the finest severed fingers of the well-to-do and the well-that-don't, marinated in aged goblin spit with a touch of zombie blood and a set of vampire dentures.

I was so lucky to even get to make this creation today, I had to pick my girls up from school as they went into evacuation mode due to a bush fire at their back fence.  The roads in and out were cut off by police and fire engines as smoke billowed over the road and through the school.  One of my girls was excited for an early day (the Preppy) but the teen was rather annoyed that she was leaving her friends *facepalm*

Okay - onto some closeups:
There is a spider climbing up the straw, it's a red back so watch out for it's bite.  It sits above some vampire dentures.
I made this flower by cutting a circle of brown cardstock and then crushing it several times.  I pinched it in the middle and glue a flower on top.  At the back there is some purple netting, 2 feathers and some hat pins.
There's red sparkling blood oozing from the top of the glass from putting all those fingers inside - one even has a gold ring on it still!
At the base of the glass I used Belinda Bones from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps.  This is an actual stamp (not digital) and took a bit for me to get right, I'm so out of practice with real stamping!  I coloured her with Copics and then accented her bones with liquid pearls.  I wrapped some red splattered ribbon around the stem and then added some skulls.  I also added some bling.

Thanks for visiting today!

A little extra flavoring in the drink never hurt anyone. Cool idea.

I seriously thought the teeth on the straw was an ear of corn. It totally confused me. I love the fingers at the bottom and how the little girl image has her skeleton showing

I've always said being a mom is the toughest job.
You did exceptionally well with today's project!
The flower turned out beautifully, the netting is brilliant, and how Belinda's bones do shine in a healthy way!

How scary for you, but your girls don't seem phased by the emergency. I'm glad they got out alright. What a fun project, those bloody fingers are creepy!
