A baby shower

I was so excited to attend a baby shower this week that I went all out on the creating front!  First I made a card using a cute image from Saturated Canary and coloured it with my copics.  I couldn't find a sketch that I wanted so I just created my own.  I went for gender neutral colours because we don't know if mum is having a boy or girl.  The patterned paper you see in the middle is actually the other side of the yellow patterned paper in the background - which is great when you want co-ordinating colours!  I also used some gloss on the cherry and the girl's eyes, some twine around the ribbon and a touch of bling.

Once the card was made I started work on my diaper baby.  These are a personal favourite of mine to make, and are so much more fun than an outfit in a bag.  Here's is how he/she turned out.  I created 3 rolls of nappies for the head and body, and then I made 2 arms and legs.  Everything is held together with rubber bands, so that mum can pull it apart and use when needed.  Then I dressed baby in a onsie and bib, popped on a beanie, sunnies and a dummy.  Lastly I added a cute lovie.  The photo looks a little blue, but the whole outfit is in white/grey/green.
Lastly I created some cookies - I was so worried my new cookie cutters wouldn't arrive in time, but they turned up yesterday and I was able to create these little masterpieces - bottles, bibs & onsies.  This is only the 3rd time I've ever made sugar cookies and I'm' sensing a new addiction!  I hope the mum to be loves them as much as I've loved creating them!

Wow! You really went all out! I too love to use that Glossy Accents on cherries and big eyes and love using double sided papers cause I know they will go well together! You are a girl after my own heart! lol I've not ever seen a diaper baby before and this is fabulous! You should do a tute and then let me know so I can come see! I'd love to give that a go! Cookie cutters arriving just in the nick of time... someone was looking out for you! Now I feel like milk and cookies! Ha! The SC image is colored beautifully and all your projects are just over the top! Thanks for joining us at Fitztown Challenge Blog. Hope to see you again and good luck!
