One of my co-workers asked me to make a special card for her daughter's 21st birthday. Her daughter loves cherries, so I put my thinking cap on and came up with this sweet card.
The digi image is from Cuddly Buddly. I coloured it up with my copics and then got to break out my brand new embossing gun!! Oh what fun that was to create the icing on the cupcake! I also added some gloss to the cherry to shine it up nice.
The design of the card is from Sketch Saturday, Week #228 - I moved the sentiment from the bottom left to the little flag in the top right, but the rest is all the same. The little flag reads "Cherries nice to turn 21!" and means "Sure is nice to turn 21!"
You should be able to see the icing a little better now - it's slightly raised and has a sparkle appearance. I also used some liquid pears on the patterned papers to give texture and some little dots around the little teddy image. There are some little flowers in the digi image, but I wanted to use my own little blue ones. These are fixed to the card with my glue gun. The cherry themed papers you see on this card are actually digital papers from The Sweet Shoppe, and created by Kristin Cronin-Barrow.
