Altering a cookie tray

I'm sure you've all been thinking about all the upcoming cooking that comes with Christmas, well what if I said you could have all the fun of baking, without any washing up AND it's 100% fat free!

Whip out your baking tray (keeping in mind that you won't be able to actually bake with it again!) you can pick these up relatively cheap from dollar stores too, mine only cost $5.  Gather your supplies.  I used two sheets of pp for the base of the tray, a printed calendar that I created in Microsoft Publisher, some Christmas themed embellies - but I did throw in some sparkly butterflies, some magnets, glue (hot and cold) and some little clear pebbles.
I bought the little notepad from Riot craft store and embellished the cover with scraps and twine.

Simply cut one of your 12x12 sheets in half and then use a corner rounder or scissors to sculpt the corners to fin in the tray.  Adhere.  Then place your other 12x12 sheet into the the tray.  Of course all trays are not created equal so you may have to make minor adjustments to make your paper fit.  The using any program that can create a calendar (I used Publisher), print out a little calendar that will be held on the tray with magnets.  For my magnets I used some matching chipboard shapes and hot glued a little round magnet to the back.  I used a gingerbread man, present and a star.

This little star has a magnet on the back and a shiny pebble rock on the top.  I used clear glue to adhere it.  This magnet can hold all sorts of things like receipts, reminders and hints!!
I made some more little pebble magnets by cutting out little circles of scrap pp and gluing them to the pebbles.  Then I added a magnet to the back.
This little notebook has white pages inside to hold all sorts of reminders and scribbles.  I just used scrap paper for the front, a little tag and some twine to embellish it a little.  It can be glued or magnetized to the tray.
On the corners of the tray I added a butterfly and some diecut trees
This butterfly is playing with a snowflake.

So what do you think?  Think you'd like to try my kind of cooking?  Don't forget to leave me a link so I can come and see!
