Amber and Santa

I've had this layout completed for a while for a design team challenge, we had to create a layout about Christmas but not use traditional colours - like red and green.

So I chose some colours out of the picture and specifically Amber's outfit to plan my layout.

This particular photo was taken on a whim one morning while we were out at the shops.  I hadn't planned on the photo being taken, and would have otherwise had the girls dressed in their Christmas dresses.  You may note that Sophia isn't in the photo.  After talking about Santa non stop and spending time with him at her Daycare Christmas Party - Sophia didn't want a thing to do with him at the shops.  I really don't mind, and have never forced my girls to sit with Santa.  I think this may be the last year Amber will want to sit with him though, cause she looked a little uncomfortable.

If you're wondering about the gorgeous flowers up in the top right corner, my very talented Sassy Sister Kelly made them as part of our flower swap.  They are so cute and soft!  The butterflies are from Kelly too.

Here's a little close up.  Kelly sent the flowers to me with the brads in the centre, so I just adhered them to the layout using my ATG gun.  Seriously  that thing can hold anything to paper!  I gave the butterflies a 3D effect by folding their wings up a little and only sticking down the middle of the butterfly.  This layout was great for using up some scraps!

Nice how you were able to pull out all those colors from what she had on. The flowers are great for this layout. Very cute.....

That is a really cute layout. I like the scalloped paper going across the top of the picture.
