Waterfall Paper Bag Album

I had so much fun with this album - and all the stickers and embellies!  We don't go camping, so I jumped at the opportunity to make a little album when Amber went camping for school at the end of last term.  I was going to enter this in the Scrapstreet Magazine but missed the deadline, so now I get to show it here!

These mini albums are so easy to create!  I used 2 paper bags, sat one on top of the other, slightly overlapping each other and then folded in the middle!  I ran my little book through my sewing machine to create a strong bond for the centre.  As you can see I have two little "pockets" for journaling tags to go in.  I went mad with embellies - I even adhered some of the stickers on 3D foam dots and then onto acetate.  I wanted the animals to sort of hover around the album.

The first page has a little pocket that will have Amber's list of camping supplies that she took.  The photo is of Amber at camp (with her little mozzie zapper on), and some aboriginal face painting.

This page shows the camping grounds and the bathroom block - there will be journaling at the top of the page.  I'm hoping Amber might like to do it, since it's about her camp.  I think her writing would look fabulous in this album.

And this page has a lot of journaling space and a lovely photo of the mountains where Amber camped and the owners house.  All the photos you see in this album were taken by Amber.  I gave her a water proof camera to take on camp so she could snap off pictures of her adventure.

A little tip that we learned though - sacrifice the camera's durability and make sure you get a camera with a flash.  I thought it would be better to have a water proof camera, but it had no flash and we got quite a few photos back of Amber and her friends that were so dark we couldn't use them.
