Happy Inter-National Scrapbooking Day!!

I say international, because so many of us are participating from all around the world!  I started late today, I had so many other things to do, but I did manage to do some scrapping.  The paint is still drying on my last layout, so I'll share with you this layout that I also created for a challenge over at Melody's Scrapbook World.  We were given a sketch to use and this is what I came up with.
These are the easter photos that I took of the girls in our new backyard.  The grass was so green from the recent rain that it was just screaming for a play with bunnies and eggs!  I had a few photos, but I didn't want to have to create a two page layout, so I used some neat little pockets that I was sent a while ago called "Flipbooks" by 2Charm. They are really neat and allow you to slide photos (or other memorabilia I suppose) into the little clear sleeve which you can then adhere to your layout any way you wish.  There are 2 holes provided, but I just used a strip of double sided tape.  I have in the past used brads.  Here is where I hid the other photos:

To the left I added a little tab that says "lift", when you do lift up the page 2 more photos are reveiled.  You can add more journalling (I backed my photos with green card so I couldn't see the date and info printed on the back of the photos.) You can also stack your flipbooks to create several pages!  These can be adhered to your layout on the outside of your protective sleeve to create a truly interactive page, with no damage or fingerprinting to your precious photos.

This layout is like an easter egg hunt - there are lots of things hidden!  This time it's my journaling.  A small card bordered in doodling and then filled in.  I used the same style tab with the word "pull" on it.  Thank you Candace for my gorgeous flowers.  I mixed and matched them with some hydrangeas I had in my stash!

Some other things you might find in my layout: the checkered lines are clear stickers, there are bunny brads in my grassy-look fiber, there's pleated paper, bling and the main photo is raised on pop-dots.
