Our creative weekend!

It's a long weekend here, it's Anzac Day, and with that comes not only a sense of grief for some but also gratitude to those that have and still are serving for our country.  Amber is very aware of what the significance means as she's not long sat through hours of ceremony at school.  When she came home all she wanted to do was make Anzac biscuits and an Orange & Poppy Seed cake!  So we did, and Amber got to serve her creations out to my friends who came over for a Tupperware Party.  She was so proud and will tell everyone the origin of the Anzac biscuits and poppy seeds to anyone who will listen!

Apart from the baking (and we are about to make cupcakes), Amber has created her very own card for a challenge over at Children's Challenge Corner.  All she had to do was create a card with at least 3 buttons on it.  This is what she came up with:

Isn't it the cutest!  Amber used a Card Map sketch, but pretty much chose her own pictures and stamp.  She wanted it to be "princessy" (of course).  These are the new Cuttlebug shapes that I recently won on ebay for $2.70!!  They are raised off the card with 3D foam dots.  The sentiment is stamped and then made into a 3D folded piece that has been inked around the edges.  Amber loves Stickles and really enjoyed colouring her castle in them. She also drew around the grass edge and put some dots in the butterfly pp.

I can deffinately see some more cards in Amber's future!
