Someone found her independence!

Yep we have reached that age where Sophia has to do everything herself - including feeding herself - and the messier food the better!!  This particular day, Sophia was eating Spaghetti Bolognese - mmmm pasta and sause went everywhere!  There's a certain way you have to feed her when she gets in one of her "independent" moods - one spoonful from me, then one from her.  Daddy is still trying to master this process and usually ends up with more food on him than on Sophia!

This layout was created for Practical Scrapper's Chalks and Inks theme.  I tried something completely new and stamped the base cardstock with pale blue ink (you can just see it, I wanted it subtle).  It's of a flowery stamp that I rotated and overlapped just to give a hint of pattern to the background.  I also inked the edges of the pp strips and journalling strips.

I used an organza ribbon, tied it in a bow and then tied one of the tails in knots and stitched them to the layout.  There are pins with crystals on the ends poked into the bow.  The flowers I won at If It's Groovy some time ago, are brads, I added some stickles to the petals to make them sparkle.

You can see here that the journalling strips are raised - I used 3D foam dots to lift them, and the edges are defined with pink ink.  I also used Stickles on the pink dots in the pp at the bottom of the photo.
