A special visit...

During August last year my FIL spent some time in hospital, and we went to visit him. Sophia was so small then, and got to have a ride on the bed (it goes up and down), and got to share some snacks with her Gan (even though he couldn't eat anything). It was so good to see my FIL smiling. Amber also got to play with her 2 other cousins and Jas and I got to catch up with his mum too. Amber loved her Gan's room cause it overlooked the Ekka - which you could see at night because of all the lights and Norm had a front row seat to the fireworks! Amber thought that was pretty cool.

I created this layout for Practical Scrappers - brads theme. I used tiny brads on the journaling box - they have been pushed through holes in buttons to adhere them to the layout. I also used two tiny butterfly brads to hold a silver frame in place around the title. First I wrapped the ribbon around the frame edge and then I used a doll needle to create a hole big enough for the brad to go through. The brad goes right through the paper to the back to hold everything in place.
Here you can see the frame and ribbon close-up. Also the background paper which I sliced up and then distressed the edges.

Above is the journaling box with brads and buttons - I also used stitching as a border around the photo.

Cute cute picture. I like how you used the metal tag frame. Thanks for the ideas.
