Embossing!!

Hello blogger friends (and family) - gosh it's been a while. Work has me so busy with all it's demanding hours and wouldn't you know it I got heat stroke a couple of days back from working outdoors in the heat. Thank goodness I have air conditioning in my room and I could take my Pre Kindy children indoors out of it. I unfortunately had arrived to open the centre and set up the playground equipment and that's when I got too hot - but I'm all good now, nothing like a massive headache and starry explosions in your eyes to slow you down!

Okay, so over at Practical Scrappers the theme this week is Embossing! I love embossing, even thought I do it all by hand with a stylus - but if you saw my post below, you'll know that that will be a thing of the past!!! Before I got my bug though I created this layout. I embossed a strip of pp with my Fiskars texture plates, then to define the pattern more I sanded gently over the top. This bought out the white core and voila - instant texture and pattern!!

The layout I created is of Sophia's first daycare Christmas Party, and I snapped a photo of her with her (and my) favourite teacher Miss Julie. This layout was also inspired by a Page Maps sketch.

Wonderful layout! I love the title and embossing. I have the same green cuttlebug as you and love it too :)
