I've been procrastinating over these letters for some time now - I painted them about 2 months ago and then set them on a shelf and forgot about them! But I wanted to do something creative today and there they were - just begging to be finished. So I fired up my glue gun and tore through my stash of odds and ends and came up with these:
I bought the letters at Spotlight. They came nude, so I painted them white. Then I covered the front with my favourite paper at the moment from the DCWV stack (Big W). I doodled around the edge with a single line, then wrapped some pink gathered ribbon around the widest part of the letter. I adhered it with hot glue. I dug out some plastic flowers - they are the layered purple ones with the butterfly brad in the middle - they actually come flat, so I folded the petals a little for dimension. Then I popped on some paper leaves and some primas. I finished it all off with some pearl and blingy flower centers and a matted photo of each of my daughters. "A" for Amber - "S" for Sophia. These will now be hung with ribbon in my girl's rooms. Amber says she loves hers and is picking out a spot above her bed where she wants it! Both letters stand approx. 16cm (6.29 inches) tall.
