An absolute tragedy....

I found out last night that on their way here for the reunion, one of my former classmates and his pregnant wife were killed in a car accident. I am so saddened by this and can't believe that it's happened. We still haven't heard of what actually happened but just that they didn't make it. This classmate was with me and 3 other people for my formal - we all went to the event in a limo. Please keep their family in your thoughts at this very difficult time.

What have we been up to today. Well I got to browse through the scrapbook shop that's here - it's awesome! They have the best range of items, I had to buy some really cute brads and ribbon. I wanted some paper, but realistically it wouldn't make it home un-bent! We've also been picking macadamias from mum's tree, playing frisbee in the backyard and relaxing with friends on mum's verandah. The weather has been beautiful. A little chilly in the mornings and evenings, but the days are quite warm. Mum and I took Sophia down to the Retirement Village where she used to volunteer so they could all meet Sophia - they've heard all about her, and now they get to see her. It was quite an adventure and Sophia took it really well. They all wanted to touch her and said she was gorgeous. They also missed Amber - whom they all know about - she wanted to stay home and watch Sponge Bob.

This is Amber trying to crack the hard shells of the Macadamia Nuts with her granddad's hammer. It's very dry at the moment, so Amber walks around with a permanent afro! Talk about static electricity!

Sophia and her new dolly are keeping Uncle Nick amused.
