Vaccination Day...

Arg! I don't know how they do it. It's bad enough taking your children to get their needles, let along actually having to give one. I am dreading it so much I'm almost sick. So I did some scrapping to get my mind off it..

It's a layout about Sophia cute little belly button! She has an "outie" because she has an unbilicus hernia. It'll go away over the next year so we don't have to worry about it.This is a closeup of the flowers - I created the petals out of hearts and rolled the tops. I folded a strip of green pp in half and then twisted it for the stems. The leaves are circles slightly folded in half - then I added stickles for glimmer.

I used a button in the title - because it's about a belly "button" of course. I created the letters by printing them out reversed on Bazzill and then hand cutting them. They are raised on 3D foam tape. The strips of pink paper were created with my threading water punch.

Update: we are back from the doctors. We had to wait an hour! I couldn't believe how far behind they were so early in the morning! (our appointment was at 9.45am). Poor Sophia, she had to have two needles and some syrup. She just cried and cried - I've never heard her cry the way she did this morning, it was terrible. Then I cried. I felt terrible for inflicting such pain on her. We're both okay now though. Lots of cuddles and kisses and she's now resting. Then we do it all again in 2 months.....

First the layout is amazing...love the button for the outie, the flowers are awesome...gotta lift some of your layouts...but they are hard to get the same effect with digi....
Second about the needles I hear you so much I took Connor for his boosters on Tuesday before he starts Kindergarten and I couldn't watch...my husband held him while they gave the needles I couldn't watch him cry...even though you know this pain is necessary it is still hard to see your baby hurting. Hope your little one is doing okay.

Well, that LO is awesome. Thank you for giving all the details. Way to use shapes to get your desired affect. I am definitely going to try some of the techniques. That button is adorable!

I'm so sorry about the immunizations. I hate them as well. So a word of advice, if you have a son and you want him to be circumsized, don't go in. I did, and was the most traumatic thing I have ever witnessed.

Give that gorgeous babe a hug and kiss from me!

so sorry about the shots! I know I was SO glad when my babies reached 18 months old and then didn't have to have shots so often anymore.

Your layout is beautiful. The flowers are especially gorgeous!
