Happy Summer!

Is it summer yet in your part of the world? We're just starting (late) on Autumn, but I know a lot of my friends are finally seeing some sun and the snow has melted.

With the warm temperatures still lingering here in Central Queensland, we are still able to visit the beach, so I loved colouring this little guy and his sandcastle from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alverez.

I used my Copics to colour him in, a little white Signo Pen for zink on his beak and a few little gems for sparkle on the sand.

The borders are doodled with fine black pen.

For the ruffles around the bottom of the card, I used Fringe Tape from We R Memory Keepers (used for covering tiny pinatas).  The papers are from American Crafts and new to Spotlight.

I have joined the following challenges:

Cardz Tv - Anything Goes (w)
Colour Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes (w)
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes (w)
Simon Says Stamp Blog - Animals (w)

Your little bird is just adorable in his sunhat - and you coloured him beautifully! I love the fun fringe detail that you added as well - it adds the perfect amount of whimsy into your design! Jill
