Bright and Cheerful

There's a new challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges and it's gorgeous!  We've been give a lovely photo for inspiration and the colours are all yellows and pinks.

I chose this fabulous image, which is just so full of joy and happiness that the colours were absolutely perfect.  I just knew this sweet girl was a red-head, and her cheerful pinafore, stripy shirt and dotty socks were so much fun to colour.  She looks like she could be out in a field of flowers, on fresh grass or jumping on a trampoline.

I added some enamel dots and she looks like she's playing in a ball pit, and there's some gems and liquid pearls in there for sparkle.

I layered the image with patterned papers and bold bright colours.

This card was created using lots of different scraps of patterned paper (I love that about making cards), and I snuck in some embossing and punching - which I don't use a lot anymore.  I doodled the border in a fine black pen and added a pom pom to a clip.

I have joined the following challenges:

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge - Photo Inspiration

Hiding in my Craftroom - Super Scraps Saturday
Brown Sugar Challenge - Easter or Spring
