Cheeky Monkey!

I've had some cheeky monkeys running around my blog - some are in tutus, some in beanies and some are just cheeky nudies!

I just love this digi image from Meljen's Designs (now closed), and have used it before.  This time though I printed it big, coloured her up all pink and added a sweet tutu and pompom!  I fussy cut her and added her to layers of pinks and brown papers then topped it all off with a ribbon and bow.

Monkeys are so fun, the weekend I made this card I also created some monkey themed cookies for a special little boy's first birthday. So I really have had monkey's coming out my ears!

First up I'll show you my card:

Isn't she adorable.  I love how Meljen's Designs images always look doodled or stamped with the extra lines.  I added a little 3D effect to this little monkey by printing out another arm and layering it over her tutu - see how it looks like she's holding the band?

I used my Copics to colour her up, and Doodlebug papers for an added pop of colour.

Now onto the cookies!

I made a selection of little monkeys and bananas.  I'm told they were a big hit at the party!

I have joined the following challenges:

Love the addition of the tutu on the monkey. That's just tutu funny. Also, your cookies are good enough to be inspiration cookies for our challenge. So glad you joined the fun at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie. Sandy/DT
