Believe

Can you believe it's almost time for Santa to visit? Can you believe that it's almost the end of the year? Can you believe I have all my Christmas present shopping done but I'm about to got out at 10pm and do grocery shopping - to avoid the hideous crowds!

Well a great way to de-stress and prepare oneself for the rigors of festive shopping is to craft, and today I did just that. I used my Copics to colour this cutie from Lacy Sunshine.

I started off colouring my image with Copics, then added some Liquid Pearls, Flocking and gloss.  I doodled a border around the edge and then matted the picture to red card.  The remainder of the card has a patterned background, a gold doily and some die cuts.  I added gems to the middle of the peppermint and the snowflake for a bit of sparkle.

Here's a little close up so you can see the gems a little better.  I like to use a tiny dot of glue under the snowflake and hide it with the gem.  The snowflake is made of vellum, so any adhesive will be seen through the paper otherwise.

I fluffed the girl's hat band and shirt cuffs with white flocking and added a clear tab to the side of the image.

I have added this card to the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Anything Goes
Creative Knockouts - Christmas Delight
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Digi Designs Challenge - Anything Goes
Addicted to Stamps - Snowflakes
