Jeannie in a bottle

Growing up I had a couple of favourite shows - and I Dream of Jeannie was at the top! Not only was she pretty but she had magic powers and got into all sorts of mischief.

This week at Southern Girls Challenge, the theme is Bright & Bold.  I initially thought the theme was Magical & Mystical so I chose Lucy Loo Arabian Nights from The East Wind. I've used her as a prop with my I Dream of Jeannie pocket letter and altered bottle.

Here she is in her organza outfit, veil and gems.  I coloured her with my Copics and then went over her veil and pants with clear, glittered Stickles.  I also made her head pop up on foam tape for extra dimension.  Finally I added gloss to her eyes and gemes to her bodice.

I found the glass bottle at a local op-shop.  Then I painted it with acrylic pain, added some jewelry that I picked up at the same shop and some fur.  I sprinkled glitter on it when it was wet.  The big metal piece in the front was missing the gem, so I added a circle of pink Bazzill and a sticker gem to finish it off.

This is the Jeannie pocket letter, with a shaker pocket in the front.  I printed out the bottle and laminated it, then added some gems.

This is the back of the pocket letter.

WOW!!! Awesome job on this week's challenge Sarah. That pocket letter is so cool. I used to love 'I Dream of Jeannie'!! I do so love your pocket letters hun. Each one is a little bit of history scrapped and they're all so utterly fab! That East Wind image was a perfect pairing too. Hugs, Wends xoxo
