You are so fab!

Today is new challenge day over at the Southern Girl Challenge Blog and the theme is Texture!

I had so much fun with this gorgeous image from The East Wind, and new exactly what I wanted to create with the girl's dress and hair decoration.

I started off by colouring the image with my Copics, then using a selection of sequins in different sizes I hand sewed each piece to her bodice, and her hairl  I love the texture that it gives the image and how the light bounces off each sequin.  I also added some tiny dots of liquid pearls.  Lastly I glossed her eyes and lips and doodled around the border of the image.

I used a sketch for this card from Mojo Monday, added a gold doily and some black webbing.

Here is the whole card, and you can see that I added some sparkly foam letters for the sentiment.

Here you can see the different layers and textures.  I also used embossed Bazzill cardstock for the background, and doodled a border around it in fine point black pen.

Sarah, wow hun! This is stunning!! I love the texture your black webbing, doily and fab puffy sentiment add, but it's that image and the gorgeous sequin details that steal the show! Inspired hun, utterly inspired! Love it!! Hugs, Wends x
