Stark Raven' Mad - 31DOH Day 12

Welcome to the twelth day of 31 Days of Halloween, hosted by the awesome Smeared Ink! There are many awesome and talented crafters in this blog hop, which you'll find listed on the right, and you can start right back at the beginning if you've just arrived here :) There will be treasure hunts and prizes to win, so don't forget to visit everyone!

Today I have a treat box, adorned with a fancy dressed raven.  The raven is solid plastic.  I've been looking for some time for a nice feathered one, but still jumped at the chance to buy this one when I saw it.  It has the added bonus of brilliant red light-up eyes!

I started by creating a little neck frill for the bird from my blood spattered, wire edged ribbon.  Then I used some deep orange twill to dress the inner edge.  I finished the frill off with a bow and a purple skull.

On the bird's head is a tiny party hat, with sparkly silver ball at the tip.  On the bird's side is a little rosette of black Bazzill and a digi stamp from Bross Art Addiction.  I added some silver stickles to the centre spider web.  At the raven's feet I added a sparkly pumpkin, some leaves and a puffy gold star.

I knew I'd use this container one day, I've had it forever!  I covered it in some graveyard paper, and decorated the top with some string that looks like barbed wire and green patterned paper that I distressed the edges of.

Thanks for visiting today, your next stop is Airless Chambers.

Very creative! great idea to let the raven dress for a party.
