A sweet little boy

Hi there!  I was so excited this week to be creating a card with a boy on it!  I have a very girl themed house (having 2 girls running about) and I rarely get to make things for boys, so this was a real treat.

The card has been created as a Design Team submission for Southern Girl Challenges.  The theme this week is boys so I'm using our sponsors image "Back to school Nicholas" from Inky Impressions.  And how can I not use it when my brother is a Nicholas too!  I still remember his first day of school and telling him I'd beat anyone up that gave him grief! I was grade 12.

I coloured the image in with my Copics and added some gloss to his eyes, lightning bolt and yoyo.

I doodled some borders around each layer with a fine point black pen.
Here's a little close up, and I now remember that I glossed his teeth and raised the sentiment on 3D foam tape.

I've included this card in the following challenges:
Crafty Sentiments Designs - Birthday
Craft Your Passion Challenges - Anything Goes
Avenue 613 Create - Anything Goes
Timeout Challenges - Photo inspiration (The sticks remind me of doodling, and I created layered blocks of colour like the frames)
Party Time Tuesday - Anything Goes

Good for you, Sarah! I also don't get to make a lot of boy cards. Your card is awesome, and perfect for the Craft Your Passion challenge this week.

Fab Sarah, love the doodling, I can't do it at all, so I think it's awesome! Love the paper combo too. Gorgeous wee man too. Hugs, Wends x
