Day 8 - Test tubes

Hi and welcome to everyone from the 31 Days of Halloween blog hop!  If you want to see more of the awesomeness that this blog hop has to offer, the you can find the blog roll on the left in my sidebar.

Today we're down in the lab creating potions in test tubes - we have Orange Pumpkin Poop, Purple Lizard Gizzards, Yellow Mummy Mucus and Green Ghoul Snot.  The perfect treat for Trick-or-Treaters!

I created these fun tubes by first beginning an episode of The Walking Dead - I've only just discovered the show, and have been watching it every day while creating to catch up before the new season starts on October 13th.  So once settled with my show, I poured out a box of Nerds and set about sorting the into colours (riveting activity!).  Then I printed off some digi images from Bross Artful Designs and cut them out.  I distressed the edges a little and added a hole to the top to create tags.  I cut some patterned paper and added black a punched border.  Then I glued the paper to the tube and added the tag.  For the tops of the tubes I used some decoupage paper, tore it into circles and glued it around the lid.
Thanks so much for visiting today - enjoy the rest of the blog hop and don't forget if you're in Australia, that the Blood Moon Eclipse is happening tonight!  It's going to be so spooky and Halloweenish!!
