Sleigh bells ring are you listening.....

It's only 4 months until Christmas!!!!  Woooweee where did the year go?  Today it's new release day over at Doodle Pantry.  I'm using the Holly Stag digital image that I coloured with my Copics.

There is something magical about Christmas, all the lights, the trees, the snow (if you're lucky), getting together with families and friends and watching the wonder on little children's faces when they see their gifts.  I wanted to create something special for my first card of the season - so I made it a spinner card!  Yep, when you open the card the deer spins away just like a bauble on a tree!

Here's a little looky at how it works if you've never seen a spinner card before:

So how did I create this card.  I cut my coloured images out and laid a piece of twine between the two circles.  Using my ATG I glued them all together and then positioned the circle and twine in the hole in my card.  I positioned my base piece of cards stock (the blue patterned piece) over the twine and circled image and glued that down.  Then I was free to decorate the rest of my card.  I found the sequined decoration in my stash and using my hot glue gun affixed it to my card.  Then I created a bow and added that.  With some extra inking, doodling and a touch of bling my card was finished.  I added a sentiment inside the card.
When adding the bow you have to make sure that the tails don't hang down over the inner circle because it will stop if from spinning.  I added a little tag at the top of the circle with bling to give it a bauble look.
I added a little bit of red Stickles to the holly berries and some clear gloss to the leaves and the stag's eye.
So what do you get with this image?
Think of all the cards you could create for Christmas!!  I used the Deck The Halls sentiment in my card.

What a fantastic design Sarah! Really pretty and it sets the high standard for your future Christmas cards creation for the season :)

I wish I have my creative mojo back. I can't seem to create anything at the moment. It's been 4 months and my think-tank is empty. Sigh... Oh well. Might as well look at your creations and other super creative crafters out there for inspiration ;)

Hugs,
