Feeling Crabby!

My God Son had his 3rd birthday party on the weekend.  It was awesome!  We went to a beach reserve and played on lots of fun equipment, sang happy birthday, opened presents, ate cake and climbed trees!  One of the presents he got was a brand new Crabitat and 5 Hermit Crabs!  He had seen ours and liked them alot, so his mum (my bff) thought it would be the perfect gift.  Because of this gift I thought I would make him a Hermit Crab themed card!

I started with a Cardmaps Sketch, then I chose a digital image.  This one is from MelJen Designs - June 2nd release (and also fits their latest challenge #61!) The little hermit crab stamp is from Inkadinkado.  I simply coloured both images and then layered the hermit crab onto the larger image with 3D foam dots.  I was digging around in my stash and accidentally found boggly eyes!!  These were perfect for the little crab and were quickly added with a dab of glue.  I also added some yellow Stickles to the sand and some red Stickles to the crab.  After a bit of matting, some doodled borders and some ruffled ribbon, this birthday card was ready to go!!  The Hermit Crab at the bottom is my very own Rapunzel (named by Amber - Sophia named her mate Flynnt.  It's meant to be Flynn, but Sophia adds the "t").
Here's a closeup showing the dimensions of the crab and his little eyes.  I hope Austin has as much fun with his real Hermit Crabs as I did with making this one!
