Blog Hop Sketch

Oh I am loving this blog hop - The Sassy Blinging Babes are won talented group!!  Julie over at "Just Simply Live" created her own sketch for the hop!

The sketch has all the things I look for - great design, a couple of layers, room for my own interpretation, tags and a spot for journalling.

Thanks so much Julie, when I saw your sketch I immediately thought of these photos, cause it had the perfect spot to put my hand made marshmallow girl!

I saw her while browsing on the internet ages ago, and knew I was going to use the idea!

Here is my little marshmallow cutie - she's made with felt (body and eyes), I used some leather for the arms and legs, the black of the eyes is made from letter stickers that I trimmed, the dot in the middle is white zig pen.  The eyebrows, smile and freckles are stitched with black floss.  I added the flower and little bling tiara to match the flower at the top of the layout (it's a paper flower cut in half).

My journalling box was created from a scrap of pink Bazzill.  I used the negatives of some chipboard letters and drew around them, then cut them out with my knife.  I doodled around the edge of the cardstock and journalled about Sophia and her marshmallows.  The whole thing is raised on 3D foam dots.

The base cardstock is from DCWV paper stack, and came with the border you see in the photos - I added some bling dots to the swirls for interest.
