Growin' like a sprout

My little Princess seems to be growing before my eyes - thank goodness for scrapbooking, otherwise I'd never be able to go back and relive all her memories and wonders! This is one of my favourite photos at the moment of Sophia - this is the face I see all day - happy and full of mischief!
Sophia even wakes up with a smile on her face - so does Amber, they definitely don't get that from me, cause I'm so not a morning person. In fact I don't think I fully wake up until about 2pm! I got the inspiration for this layout from a sketch over at 52 Sketches (button is on the right)
I used my compass to draw a circle on my layout - then I gently rubbed out the lines so you could barely see them, then used my sewing machine to sew 2 lines around the pencil line. I cheated with the buttons - I simply threaded white thread through the holes, tied them off and then hot glued them to the layout (usually I actually sew them on, but it was 11pm and this was quicker!)
I created my flower using one gerbera flower, some tulle, a hand made rosette and then a glittery Doodlebug sticker on top! Oh and I forgot to add - the little Sprout tag is from some of Sophia's clothing that I bought at Myer! I raised it on 3D foam tape and it's threaded through the fiber that's wrapped around the layout. The fiber is attached with tiny staples.

I love sketches - less thinking, more scrapping!!

Your girls are beautiful. You did a wonderful job with scrapbooking (can you believe that I don't work on my girls albums since they had 7 months and now they are 3, can you believe it).

Have a nice weekend.
