I also created a layout for the SBB weekly challenge - with the theme "school". Would you believe shortly after getting Amber's school photos I lost them!? I had no idea at the time how it happened, I mean I'm a scrapper who looks after photos with my life! Turns out I forgot what they looked like and kept overlooking them - they were safely in my draws the whole time! So, I decided I would use one of them for the challenge - this photo was of Amber when she was in Grade 2
Both layouts were created with a little inspiration from 2Peas. In this layout the middle pp was shaped by me, then crushed, flattened and then sanded so you can see the creases. I doodled around the edge. I stapled the two ribbons across the page and created the apple and notepaper with my Snag'm stamps from Imaginisce (they were stamped on card, cut out and then attached with 3D foam tape). I then added some school themed stickers and brads.

i really like the LO of your two girls - i know what you mean about capturing the sweetness before the teen years too ;)
Great layouts. I need to think of more ways to add interest like the distressing and stitching. Thanks for the inspiration.
That picture of your two girls is so adorable. Believe me those teen years will be here before you know it.
Very cute layouts! Love all the school themed bits on the school layout!
