Blogging/Journalling Challenge #21

5 things I have learned in life...

Photobucket1. School isn't everything - you learn so much more out in the real world. Half the stuff I learned in school I have never had to use! They teach everyone the same stuff, trying to fit everyone into the same mould, when we are all so different.

Photobucket2. That you can overcome depression - no matter how hard it seems when you are stuck in that awful black hole. Very few people around you will understand what you are going through, so you have to help yourself to get through it. Once you've crawled out, take every measure you can to stop from ever falling in there again!

Photobucket3. That I am never going to be a morning person - no matter how motivated I am the night before, to get up early. My alarm clock is so sick of the abuse, it now doesn't beep - wicked clock!

Photobucket4. That your friends can be your family. I have no family members that live close to me, so I appreciate every friend that I have and treat them as if they were family. They are the family members that I "can" choose and I love them all - near and far - online & offline.

Photobucket5. That life is like wine - it get's better with age

Your blog is sooo cute! I love the design! Your post was cute too and sounded a lot like me! Your thought on depression is so true and I can totally relate to that one. I can also relate to the school one ok so I can relate to pretty much all of them! Great post!

Stopping by from SITS by the way! I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hi, I love this post...and your blog. I agree with your list...all of it, but especially the school note. I always tell my girls to learn as much as they can but be prepared to REALLY learn after they move on:-)

Number 1 and 2, I couldn't agree more. I finished school at 15 and sometimes feel I learned more being out in the real world that I would have ever done reading a book.

As for depression, its been my friend since I was 11 and what you say is absolutely true. No one around you can help you until you decide enough is enough and help your self.

Those are some very important lessons...especially the one about school! I'm just learning that they can't teach you everything.

Awesome list and I love the little pictures too ;) You are so right about school forcing everyone into the same mold.
