Bowled over...

Photobucket It's our last day of school holidays today - so we headed off to the shops for any last minute things - okay, so I left everything to the last minute and now we are out of contact. Do you think any of the shops has contact - nope, so I got creative. Big W were having a sale on wrapping paper, so I let Amber choose her favourites and that's what we've covered her books in. It's a lot cheaper I can tell you that! While Jas was out looking for the contact Amber and I went bowling! Completely unplanned, Jas just said we were going and that was that. I think it's only the 2nd or 3rd time I've actually been bowling, so I thought this was a great idea, and the place was empty because all the other schools in the area have started back today. Well by the time I had bowled a few balls I decided that we would put the bumpers up - for me - Amber was doing pretty well! She did use the ramp a few times, those balls look so big and heavy for her, but in the end she bowled better and straighter without it. Me on the other hand had a doozy of a Funniest Home Video moment! OMG I was winding up to bowl the ball, I bought my arm back behind me and wouldn't you know it, the ball slipped right out of my fingers, hit the floor and rolled behind me under the table and past some people! Oh the shame. I could only laugh - and chase the darn ball! Any who here are some photos:

Don't you love her style!

My little bowling buddy! Amber had to have two of these balls, because oddly enough one of them kept going missing after knocking down the pins. I would get my ball back and then hers would just mysteriously appear!

  2. Sounds like a wicked fun time! I had the same thing happen to me once...ball slipped out of my hands. Except it went backwards and got my mom in the shins. I don't think we've gone bowling since LOL!
